Works with the most capable AI agents and models on the market

MCP clients & agents

Verified end to end with Claude Code. Cursor and Codex CLI both document the HTTP / Streamable transport and the same url + headers syntax LocalFlow expects. The stdio transport is not offered.

Local engines & models

The whole inference stack runs on your machine: Whisper transcribes, a local model polishes. Ollama and Mistral are supported as an alternative rewriting engine.

One shortcut for you.
One protocol for your agents.

LocalFlow runs the same local voice stack for two independent uses: local Windows voice dictation from your keyboard, and an MCP voice server your AI agents drive themselves. Both share the microphone and the models — never at the same time.

Windows productivity mode

You press F9

  • Instant dictation into any application — Word, your mail client, VS Code, Notion, a form field.
  • 100% local transcription by Whisper, accelerated by your NVIDIA GPU (CUDA), with automatic CPU fallback.
  • The text is corrected, punctuated and stripped of filler words before it lands at your cursor.
  • Your voice data never leaves your PC: no transfer, no sub-processor, no account.

AI agent mode · new in v1.1.0

Your agent speaks up

  • localflow_dictate() — the agent opens the microphone on demand; recording stops on its own as soon as you go quiet (Silero VAD end-of-speech detection). No key to press.
  • localflow_speak() — the agent answers out loud through local SAPI speech synthesis.
  • Locked down: Bearer token, Host and Origin header validation against DNS rebinding, and a single instance guaranteed by a mutex.
  • One-click setup: the “Copy MCP config” button in Settings produces the ready-to-paste block, token included.

Same syntax for Claude Code, Cursor and OpenAI Codex CLI: the server listens over HTTP on your machine's loopback interface, never on the network.

Dictation

Dictate, the text appears at your cursor.

One universal shortcut (F9), anywhere on your PC. In Word, Notion, your code editor, even an elevated terminal. No copy-paste.

0.60 s

Speed

Near instant.

Transcription + cleanup of a 15-second dictation, warm. ×19 thanks to NVIDIA GPU offloading.

Rewriting

Corrected, punctuated, restructured.

The Phi-4-mini model restructures your sentences, fixes grammar and applies punctuation. Hesitations and filler words disappear.

0 MB

100% local

It all stays on your PC.

No cloud. Offline. Voice and text never leave your computer's RAM/VRAM. Yours alone.

88 MB

Discreet

Resident, not invasive.

88 MB of RAM at rest, tucked away in the Windows system tray, without draining your resources.

Word, Excel, Notion, your CRM: if you can type it, you can dictate it.

If your cursor blinks in it, LocalFlow can write there.

Dictation

Dictate where you work. The text follows.

Low-level Windows integration: the app detects the nature of the target window and picks the best injection method. Not a single character or accent is ever lost.

  • Native Unicode SendInput injection, right at the cursor
  • Legacy console (ConsoleWindowClass): automatic fallback to block typing with micro-delays
  • Elevated window (UIPI): text saved to the clipboard and you're notified: your work is never lost
